2024 and 2025 Benefits Transition Period

New Mountaineers and existing Mountaineers experiencing life events need to take action and enroll in benefits for the remainder of 2024 and for the full 2025 benefits year. The information below will assist you in managing new enrollments and life event changes.

  • Life Events Transition Instructions
    • If you experience a qualified life event between now and December 31, 2024, update your 2024 benefits by following the instructions under the “Take Action” section of the 2024 Benefits column below.

    • If you submitted your benefits changes for 2024 on or before September 26, 2024, no additional action is needed for your 2024 benefits. However, 2025 benefits open enrollment is an active enrollment for everyone. This means you will still need to reelect your medical, FSA, and HSA elections for 2025. Follow the instructions under the “Take Action” section of the “2025 Benefits column below.

  • New Mountaineers Transition Instructions

    If you are joining Iron Mountain as a new hire between now and December 31, 2024, you will need to enroll in your 2024 benefits and 2025 benefits.

    • Make your 2024 elections through the IMbenefits tile on myMAP.

    • If you’ve made your 2024 new hire benefits elections on or before September 26, 2024, you must make your 2025 elections during Open Enrollment (October 24-November 7) if you want medical coverage in 2025 (medical coverage elections for 2024, will not carry over to 2025).

    • If you make your 2024 new hire benefits elections after September 26, 2024, you must make all your 2025 benefits elections during Open Enrollment or by calling the Iron Mountain Benefits Center (US &PR). No 2024 benefits elections will carry over into 2025.

  • Important Information for Employees on Leave

    If you are being paid by Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) for a leave of absence that will extend into 2025 and are enrolled in company benefits, please be aware that how you pay for benefits will change. Beginning January 1, 2025, your benefit deductions will transfer to direct bill through bswift (our new benefits partner) and will no longer be taken out of LFG payments to you. If you are affected by this, you will receive information explaining the new process prior to January 1, 2025.
