New Mountaineers
Welcome to your Iron Mountain benefits! Learn about your options and what you need to do to get your benefits off to a great start.
What you need to know for 2025 benefits enrollment
As a new hire or newly benefits-eligible Mountaineer, you must choose your benefits within 30 days of your date of hire or benefits-eligible date. After you enroll, your benefits start retroactively on your date of hire or benefits-eligible date, and your benefit payments are deducted from your paycheck retroactively starting on the same date.
What you need to do
Before your date of hire or benefits-eligible date, if possible, get ready to choose your benefits by taking the following steps:
-
Gather dependent verification documents
Documentation is required to enroll eligible dependents and must be received within 30 days of your eligibility date. Access documentation or learn more about who’s eligible.
-
Schedule medical appointments and fill any routine prescriptions
To avoid any gaps in care before joining Iron Mountain, be sure to:
Complete any standard preventive medical or dental examinations.
Fill any current maintenance medications or prescriptions.
Make sure you’ve incurred expenses for your current Flexible Spending Accounts, if applicable.
-
Learn before you enroll
Carefully review the benefits information on this site. It is publicly accessible and mobile-friendly, so you and your family can view all the information you’ll need, like plan design, costs, etc. You can also review provider networks to confirm if your current providers are in network with our plans.
Virtual Benefits Fair: This publicly accessible site provides a virtual benefits fair experience where you can visit vendor booths, watch videos and access documents highlighting our benefits.
Pre-member websites also allow you to view provider networks to review if your current providers are in network with our plans. Go here to access the pre-member sites for our health plan providers: Aetna, Kaiser, Triple S.
Our Global HR Service Support team and vendor service centers (which are mentioned on the pre-member websites) are available to support you and answer your questions after your benefits-eligibility date. For the best experience, wait until your benefits-eligibility effective date before contacting vendors.
Once you’ve chosen your benefits and enrolled in your preferred plans, make sure you’re taking advantage of all the available resources to manage your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing throughout the year.
